Kitchen Remodeling

The kitchen is the room your home is measured by. We rebuild it as a design-build project — one team responsible for the drawings, the permits, the cabinetry, and the crew — so the result feels considered and the process stays calm.

A kitchen remodel is rarely just about finishes. It is about how you move — where the trash goes, whether two people can cook at once, how the island relates to the table, and where the light lands in the afternoon. We start with those questions before we ever talk about a backsplash.

Because we handle both design and construction, the plan you approve is the plan we build. There is no handoff between an architect who never sees the site and a contractor who inherits someone else’s drawings. Selections, structural changes, and mechanical work are coordinated from the same schedule, which is how a kitchen stays on budget.

We work in homes across the Peninsula, South Bay, and Southern California — from mid-century ranches to newer builds — and we detail each kitchen to the house it lives in rather than to a catalog.

Design & build

How your project comes together

Every project follows the same clear path — so you always know what’s happening and what comes next.

  1. 01

    Consultation

    Week 1

We visit your home, listen to how you live in it, and talk honestly about scope, priorities, and budget. You leave knowing whether we’re the right fit — no pressure, no vague promises.

  2. 02

    Design & Selections

    Weeks 2–6

We develop the plan, produce drawings and 3D views, and guide your material and finish selections. Locking these in early is what keeps the budget and schedule honest once we build.

  3. 03

    Estimate & Agreement

    Before we build

You receive a detailed written estimate tied to a defined scope and real selections — not placeholders. When you approve it, the number you sign is the number we build to.

  4. 04

    Permits & Engineering

    Varies by city

We prepare complete submittals, coordinate structural and mechanical engineering, and manage plan check and corrections so your project clears review as smoothly as possible.

  5. 05

    Construction

    Project-dependent

One project manager owns the schedule and communication. Trades are sequenced so they don’t collide, the site stays protected and clean, and you always know what’s happening this week.

Honest answers

What homeowners think about first

The questions worth asking before you start — answered straight.

Can we stay in the house during the remodel?

Most clients do. We seal off the kitchen, set up a temporary prep area where practical, and sequence the work so the disruption window is as short as the scope allows. Timelines are set before demolition, not discovered during it.

How do you keep the budget from moving?

We price the project from a detailed scope and finalize your selections early, so the number you approve reflects real materials — not placeholders. When you want to change something mid-project, we quote it in writing before any work proceeds.

Do we need to move plumbing or take down a wall?

Sometimes the best kitchen requires opening a wall to the dining room or relocating the sink. We’ll tell you honestly when a structural or mechanical change is worth it and when a smarter layout gets you 90 percent of the benefit for far less.

FAQ

Kitchen Remodeling questions

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

A cosmetic refresh can be a few weeks. A full kitchen remodel with new cabinetry, stone, and relocated plumbing typically runs 6 to 10 weeks of on-site work once materials are in hand, plus the design and permitting period before construction begins.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in the Bay Area or Southern California?

Cost depends on size, cabinetry, stone, appliances, and whether the layout or systems change. We provide a detailed written estimate after the design consultation so you see where the budget goes rather than a single guessed number.

Do you provide the design, or do we need our own architect?

We are a design-build company, so design and construction happen under one roof. If you already have an architect or drawings, we are glad to build from them.

Can you match the kitchen to the rest of our home?

Yes. We detail each kitchen to the architecture of the house — proportions, trim, and materials — so it reads as original rather than added on.
