Built-in gas fire pit surrounded by lounge seating on a stone patio at dusk

Outdoor Living

Outdoor Fire Pits & Fire Features

A fire feature is what keeps a backyard in use after the sun goes down. Built in and integrated with the seating around it, it becomes the gathering point of the yard.

We build gas and wood fire pits and linear fire features as part of the patio and seating layout, with the gas run to code and the surround detailed in materials that match the rest of the space.

Placement matters — far enough from the house, sheltered from wind, and centered on comfortable seating. We plan for all of it.

Design & build

How your project comes together

Every project follows the same clear path — so you always know what’s happening and what comes next.

  1. 01

    Consultation

    Week 1

We visit your home, listen to how you live in it, and talk honestly about scope, priorities, and budget. You leave knowing whether we’re the right fit — no pressure, no vague promises.

  2. 02

    Design & Selections

    Weeks 2–6

We develop the plan, produce drawings and 3D views, and guide your material and finish selections. Locking these in early is what keeps the budget and schedule honest once we build.

  3. 03

    Estimate & Agreement

    Before we build

You receive a detailed written estimate tied to a defined scope and real selections — not placeholders. When you approve it, the number you sign is the number we build to.

  4. 04

    Permits & Engineering

    Varies by city

We prepare complete submittals, coordinate structural and mechanical engineering, and manage plan check and corrections so your project clears review as smoothly as possible.

  5. 05

    Construction

    Project-dependent

One project manager owns the schedule and communication. Trades are sequenced so they don’t collide, the site stays protected and clean, and you always know what’s happening this week.

Honest answers

What homeowners think about first

The questions worth asking before you start — answered straight.

Gas or wood?

Gas is instant, clean, and easy to control; wood offers the traditional experience with more upkeep and smoke. We help you choose based on how you’ll use it and local regulations.

Where should it go?

Away from the house, out of the prevailing wind, and centered on seating. We plan placement as part of the overall yard layout.
