Modern rectangular swimming pool with clean coping and surrounding patio

Outdoor Living

Pool Construction

A pool is the center of a backyard, so it should be designed with everything around it — the deck, the equipment, the drainage, and the way the yard flows — not dropped in as an island.

We plan new pools as part of the whole outdoor space: how the coping meets the patio, where the equipment lives, how the yard drains, and how you move from the house to the water. That coordination is the advantage of building it with a design-build remodeler rather than a single-trade installer.

Structure, plumbing, electrical, and the surrounding hardscape are sequenced together so the finished yard feels designed rather than assembled.

Design & build

How your project comes together

Every project follows the same clear path — so you always know what’s happening and what comes next.

  1. 01

    Consultation

    Week 1

We visit your home, listen to how you live in it, and talk honestly about scope, priorities, and budget. You leave knowing whether we’re the right fit — no pressure, no vague promises.

  2. 02

    Design & Selections

    Weeks 2–6

We develop the plan, produce drawings and 3D views, and guide your material and finish selections. Locking these in early is what keeps the budget and schedule honest once we build.

  3. 03

    Estimate & Agreement

    Before we build

You receive a detailed written estimate tied to a defined scope and real selections — not placeholders. When you approve it, the number you sign is the number we build to.

  4. 04

    Permits & Engineering

    Varies by city

We prepare complete submittals, coordinate structural and mechanical engineering, and manage plan check and corrections so your project clears review as smoothly as possible.

  5. 05

    Construction

    Project-dependent

One project manager owns the schedule and communication. Trades are sequenced so they don’t collide, the site stays protected and clean, and you always know what’s happening this week.

Honest answers

What homeowners think about first

The questions worth asking before you start — answered straight.

Should the pool and patio be one project?

Ideally, yes. Coordinating the pool with the decking, drainage, and any outdoor kitchen or fire feature avoids the mismatched, pieced-together look of separately built elements.

What about safety and code?

Pools carry specific code requirements for barriers, alarms, and equipment. We build to those requirements and handle the permitting.

FAQ

Pool Construction questions

Do you build the pool and the surrounding backyard together?

Yes. Building the pool alongside the decking, drainage, and outdoor living features is exactly where our design-build approach adds value.

Do pools require permits?

Yes. Pool construction requires permits and inspections, including safety requirements, which we manage.
